OK. You are definitely right about one thing.

The state of my Greek ability is rusty, crusty, and downright bad. I have an honors major with an "A" average; I took a whole slew of Greek courses, including Plato, Euripides, Revelation (yeah, I know, I'm sure I must have read that passage you quoted any number of times), Gospel of Mark, etc. The truth is, I have touched Greek literally...maybe 2 or 3 times since I graduated. I know it wouldn't take me long to brush up (I was at the top of my class at the time), but dang...your mild rebuke made my cheeks sting because it hit dead-on. Touche. I didn't read the quote closely at all; I just read the "Come, Lover" and "nymphe" and "elthe" and thought I had it. Just goes to show, "Use it or lose it!"

Now, about my blog (which, as is obvious, I haven't touched either in a long time). I'd encourage you to do what I should have done: read a little bit more closely. I've never bashed Bush on my site. I haven't really said much of anything about him at all. I've blogged about the situation in Iraq (which is important to me, since my wife is active-duty Army and my brother-in-law is Special Forces), Tom DeLay (who has been cited for ethical violations by the Republican house) and drilling for oil in ANWR (which is just stupid on its face, but that's my opinion).

But enough with the heavy stuff. I'm more intersted in talking about Korea and your life there. I'll keep reading.
